My first blog post

Hello Everyone,

This is my first blog post and am very excited to be writing it.  I am new to all this. I read all kinds of blogs but have never written one myself, well until now.

I've decided to start writing a blog for a couple of reasons. I like to do research, and research on a variety of topics, and I thought you know I do all this research for myself and really I'm probably not the only one that would like to know more information on whatever topic I'm looking into. And a lot of it is so conflicting which in turn leads me to more research.

I do a lot of research on Natural Living. I'm allergic to everything from skin and hair products to food. It gets hard sometimes with living on natural products and a gluten free diet when I'm the only one in my house of 6 people that needs to do all this. So I thought I'm not the only one living like this and a lot of people are allergic or can't eat or use different things for whatever reason, but don't know where to start with getting information about it.

Here I sit thinking wouldn't it be great to have a place to put and share all the information I have found someplace else besides in a folder on my desk or in my head. I have so so much to share that my head is just exploding with what to share first.

So I think first I will share some information about me. My name is Rachel, I live in a very small town in Nebraska. I'm 25 years old with two wonderful energetic daughters and have just recently got married to a wonderful man who helps me with so much, and with the marriage I got two wonderful step kids that are just as great as my own and consider them that way. But anyway, all the research I do is because of my own health problems or my kids and also fun things to do with my children. I am allergic to most fruit and vegetables. I can not eat any fresh fruits or vegetables, they have to be frozen before I can eat them. But I love fresh fruits and vegetables, so I have a huge problem with it. I am also allergic to preservatives, which leads me to why I'm gluten free (I will get into the benefits of being gluten free and why I choose it with my allergies, in a later post). I am also allergic to most fragrances, soaps and shampoos. So I have started doing research into natural products and have trial and error a lot of them, and have figured out what works the best for me and my family. Which isn't going to be the best for everyone and I in no way will be forcing any one to try. This blog will be for helpful information, research and a use as you will.

I will be posting on a huge variety of topics from A to Z, that I find interesting and hope that you will find just as interesting. I will also be posting lots of gluten free recipes and none gluten free recipes. I do have people in my house that are not gluten free that I don't always make gluten free meals or deserts for, but they do like some of the gluten free meals and treats that I do make. They just don't realize any different. I do a lot of cooking of variety of things. I am so very crafty so will also be posting great craft projects for yourself or children to do. I also have been doing some research on organic gardening so will be posting on that topic also.

If there is anything you would like to share with me or if I have posted a topic you would like more information about please email me with any concerns, questions or topics. I am in no way a doctor and do not say that I am or have any professional medical information. This blog and all posts are for information purposes only.

Thanks for viewing my blog and hope that you continue to return to see updated posts from me Rachel, Natural Mommy
